Job summary

Dana-co, a women’s intimate apparel company, is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our finance team. This in-office role supports day-to-day accounting tasks, maintains accurate records, and helps with a variety of accounting functions in a small, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of accounting experience, an associate or bachelor’s degree, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience in a small or midsize company.
• Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable; basic reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting, filtering).
• Experience with accounting software; QuickBooks or similar ERP system is a plus.
• Strong numerical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Professional communication and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Process and accurately record routine accounting transactions.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy and proper approval.
• Prepare and maintain accounting schedules, spreadsheets, and financial records.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, vendor, and other assigned accounts.
• Research and help resolve discrepancies in accounts, invoices, and payments.
• Assist with journal entries and month-end closing activities.
• Support the preparation of internal financial reports and audit documentation.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting files.
• Perform data entry and provide administrative support to the finance department.
• Communicate with internal departments and external vendors regarding accounting matters.
• Handle confidential financial information with discretion and integrity.
• Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as needed.
