Job summary

Kahak Health Care Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide compassionate, in-home care and support to individuals with IDD and behavioral health needs in the Leesburg area.

The DSP will help individuals achieve independence, improve daily living skills, and participate in community activities while maintaining health and safety. Background checks are required, and a valid driver’s license with insurance is needed.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year experience in the medical or a related field (social work, psychology, nursing assistance, etc.).
• Must be 18 years of age.
• A reliable car.
• A current driver's license.
• A current work authorization (US Passport, US Work Authorization card, Permanent Resident Card) or a Birth Certificate.
• Social Security Card.
• Current auto insurance.
• Current CPR & First Aid.
• Current physical exam.
• Current tuberculosis test with negative result.
• Resume.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and/or behavioral health needs.
• Assist individuals in achieving independence and improving daily living skills.
• Encourage participation in community activities and support health and safety in home and community.
