Empowered Services is hiring an entry-level Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide in-home and community-based support in Oregon. No prior DSP experience required; paid training provided to help individuals with IDD build independence and engage with communities.

The role focuses on daily routines, community activities, emotional regulation, and behavioral support, with a flexible schedule and opportunities for long-term growth. Full-time hours may include 30+ hours/week with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Current auto insurance (meeting state requirements).
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living routines (meals, hygiene, organization).
• Assist with community access (shopping, errands, outings).
• Provide emotional regulation support using calm, structured approaches.
• Maintain clear boundaries and consistent expectations.
• Communicate updates with care teams and complete required documentation.
