Job summary

Empowered Services is hiring an entry-level Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide structured, in-home care for individuals with IDD in the Oregon area. No prior DSP experience is required; paid training is provided.

Expect to support daily living routines, community access, emotional regulation, and crisis support in a consistent, boundary-driven environment. The role offers a strong, full-time schedule (30+ hours/week for FT), competitive hourly pay ($23–$26) and included benefits after

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check (not all records are disqualifying).
• Comfortable supporting personal care needs.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living routines (meals, hygiene, organization).
• Assist with community access (shopping, errands, outings).
• Provide emotional regulation support using calm, structured approaches.
• Maintain clear boundaries and consistent expectations.
• Assist with household upkeep and organization.
• Encourage independence and personal responsibility.
• Communicate updates with care teams and complete required documentation.
• Help maintain a safe, predictable, and respectful environment.
