RHDD in southeastern Ohio seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in homes and the community. You may teach tasks, help with daily living activities like housekeeping, meals, shopping, and transportation.

You will also support personal hygiene, document and administer medications, report health concerns to your supervisor, and build trusting relationships within a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid Driver’s License (with fewer than six points).
• Reliable transportation with current proof of state minimum auto insurance.

Responsabilités

• Provide services to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and in the community.
• Assist individuals with daily living activities including housekeeping, meal and menu prep, grocery shopping, and day-to-day finances.
• Assist with personal hygiene including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, toileting and positioning.
• Provide transportation to delegated activities such as doctor appointments, community outings, shopping, and vacations.
• Document and administer medication and health-related tasks.
• Report to supervisor any suspected need of medical attention, abuse, neglect or safety issues.
• Build trust with individuals and act as a supportive, caring presence.
