Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Speech Pathologist to provide in-home evaluation and treatment of speech, language, cognition, voice and swallowing disorders for adults in Bluffton, SC. You will work closely with patients and families to improve communication, safety and independence in a home setting.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology in the assigned state.
• CCC-SLP certification with graduate coursework and clinical practicum from an accredited program.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing; provide AAC systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
• Other duties as assigned.
