Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide outpatient rehabilitation services in the home and facility settings for older adults in Mount Olive, NC. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with an 40-hour minimum guarantee, onsite, following a typical weekday schedule 08:00–16:30.

The clinician will evaluate and treat in diverse home environments, coordinating with the rehab team and physicians to achieve functional communication and swallowing goals.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Speech Language Pathologist license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license eligibility.
• Must possess or be eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the ASHA or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow.
• Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to and from patients' residence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise CFYs, students and support personnel as required.
• Adhere to department and patient treatment schedule and complete documentation.
• Attend and contribute to patient care, staffing conferences and related meetings.
• Make referrals to other disciplines to address patient needs.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation team and physician to select appropriate regimens.
• Adapt plan of care to individual patient needs.
• Promote a safe environment and remove hazards.
• Coordinate care in home and community with interdisciplinary team.
