Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support clients with daily activities, mobility and personal care needs in home or school settings. The role emphasizes confidentiality, effective communication, and coordination with care teams.

The position offers an hourly rate and requires at least 18 years old, with relevant experience and current certifications as listed in the qualifications.

Qualifications

• State licensure or certification as required by state/program.
• 1 year relevant experience preferred.
• Current BLS card.
• Current PPD or Chest X-ray as required.
• Knowledge of child growth and development.
• Able to coordinate between home, school, local health agency and resources.
• Strong English communication with supervisors, co-workers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities.
• Assists with transfers and ambulation.
• Provides health care tasks, personal hygiene and related support services.
• Assists in school settings with student supervision and learning support.
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Reports changes in client status per care plan.
