Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Personal Care Assistant to support clients in home or school environments. You will assist with daily activities, mobility and personal care under guidance from health professionals.

The role requires compassion, strong communication, and safety-focused care within HIPAA-compliant practices. Prior experience and BLS certification are preferred; 18+ age and proficiency in English are important.

Qualifications

State licensure or certification as required by state and/or program.
One (1) year relevant experience preferred.
Knowledge of child growth and development.
Ability to coordinate and facilitate services between home, school, local health agency, and other resources.

Responsibilities

Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities.
Demonstrates competence in performing skills per the plan of care.
Provides health care tasks, personal hygiene services, and other support to the client’s health.
Assists with transfers and ambulation.
Aids teacher in helping student learn and provides feedback to student and supervisors/teachers.
Reports changes in client status as directed by the plan of care.
Maintains confidentiality of all client information and adheres to HIPAA policies.
