Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to provide support to clients in home or school settings. You will assist with day-to-day activities, mobility, personal care, and health-related tasks under the direction of a health care professional.

Qualifications

• State licensure or certification as required by state and/or program.
• One year of relevant experience preferred.
• Current BLS Card.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Knowledge of child growth and development.
• Ability to coordinate and facilitate services between home, school, local health agency, and other community resources.
• Strong communication skills; proficiency in English may be required.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities.
• Demonstrates competence in performing the necessary skills and follows the plan of care.
• Provides health care tasks, personal hygiene services, and related support to the client.
• Assists with transfers and ambulation.
• In school settings, accompanies student on bus to and from school.
• Maintains confidentiality of all information pertaining to clients, families and employees.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
