Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to provide support services for clients in home or school settings, following the care plan established by a health professional. The role includes helping with daily activities, hygiene, mobility assistance, and supervision as needed, while maintaining strict confidentiality.

The position requires at least 18 years old, valid licensure/certification as required by state, and preferred 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• One (1) year relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of confidentiality and HIPAA/privacy policies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, clients.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities.
• Demonstrates competence in performing skills per plan of care.
• Provides health care tasks, personal hygiene services, and related support.
• Assists with transfers and ambulation.
• In school setting, accompanies student on bus to/from school (if applicable).
• Maintains confidentiality of all information pertaining to clients, families and employees.
• Implements behavior management techniques as directed by supervisor.
