Perfect Care Inc. is seeking a dedicated Recovery Assistant to provide in-home care services in New London, CT.

This role delivers personalized support to participants under a Recovery Plan, with visits conducted in the home and in community settings to promote independence. The position requires you to be at least 18, hold a high school diploma or GED, possess a valid Connecticut driver’s license or state ID, and complete DMHAS Recovery Assistant training.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Possess a valid Connecticut driver’s license or state issued identification and be registered with DMHAS as having completed an approved Recovery Assistant training program.
• Criminal Background check within six months of application.
• Meet continuing education and/or training requirements set by DMHAS.

Responsibilities

• Recovery Assistant services of at least 15 minutes duration provided to the participant in his/her home and in other community settings.
• Assist with meal planning and preparation, shopping, housekeeping and basic household tasks.
• Assist or cue participant to perform or engage in family, social and recreational activities; use natural community supports and routine medical/dental services; monitor medications as prescribed.
• Assist or cue participant to avoid risky behaviors, substance abuse, overspending, conflicts; provide supportive discussions.
• Establish companionship and supportive relationship; escort to appointments; read to or with participant; engage in recreational activities.
• Participate in waiver Recovery Plan development and quarterly updates; travel with participant for qualifying waiver service activities.
