Job summary

Perfect Care Inc. in Clinton, CT seeks a dedicated Recovery Assistant to provide home-based support under the Recovery Plan. Duties include assisting with daily living activities, meal prep, transportation, and companionship in the participant's home and community settings.

Hours are varied according to the Recovery Plan. Candidates must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, a CT driver’s license or state ID, completion of an approved DMHAS Recovery Assistant training, and pass a background

Qualifications

Be at least 18 years old.
Hold a high school diploma or GED.
Have a valid Connecticut driver's license or state ID and be registered with DMHAS as having completed an approved Recovery Assistant training program, plus any required continuing education.

Responsibilities

Provide Recovery Assistant services of at least 15 minutes in the participant's home or other community settings.
Assist with activities such as meal planning/prep, shopping, housekeeping, dressing, personal hygiene, and emergency procedures as needed.
Assist or cue participation in family, social, and recreational activities and use of natural supports.
Assist to avoid risky behaviors, substance use, overspending, and unnecessary conflicts.
Establish and maintain a supportive companionship relationship, including escorting to appointments and reading or discussing activities.
Support participation in waiver Recovery Plan development and quarterly update meetings as requested; travel with participant for qualifying waiver activities.
