Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver outpatient rehabilitation in in-home settings for older adults across CT. You will evaluate and treat patients in their homes or in living facilities, under supervision of a licensed PT.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license eligibility.
• Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to and from patients' residences.

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care and required meetings under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
• Adheres to department and patient treatment schedules with timely documentation.
• Collaborates with the rehab team to implement patient-specific programs.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and procedures.
• Instructs patients and caregivers in the prescribed treatment techniques.
• Maintains timely and accurate documentation for all patients treated.
• Maintains and reports on equipment condition and needs for repair.
• Prioritizes patient-centered service and compassionate care in all interactions.
• Implements individualized treatment plans and provides therapies such as therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance, and wellness education.
• Performs other related duties as required.
