Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver outpatient rehab in the patient’s home across Glastonbury and surrounding areas. This role supports the Physical Therapist and focuses on functional independence for the older adult population.

You will work in in-home settings, assisted living, and community sites, with a flexible schedule and opportunities for mentorship, CEUs, and professional development. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid license in the state(s) of practice or proof of license eligibility.
• Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to visit patients.

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Responsible for adherence to department and patient treatment schedule, timely clinical and billing documentation requirements.
• Works with rehabilitation team to implement programs and activities suited to each patient.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instructs patients and families in PT techniques under supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Maintains timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and reports repair needs.
• Puts Patient Service First in a compassionate atmosphere.
• Implements individualized treatment plans and delivers PT treatments including exercise, gait training, and modalities.
• Performs other related duties as required.
