Job summary

MDE is growing and seeks experienced postpartum doulas to provide in-home support across NYC. You will assist new families with emotional and physical postpartum needs, newborn education, and lactation support. A flexible, ad-hoc schedule is required, with sessions lasting at least 3 hours.

Minimum 3 years of postpartum doula experience and completed training are required; lactation certification is preferred but not mandatory. Compensation is $45/hour, paid bi-weekly as a W2 employee of MDE.

Qualifications

• Direct communicator with strong verbal and written skills.
• 3+ years of postpartum doula experience required.
• Completed a postpartum doula training is required; certification preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide daytime and/or overnight in-home postpartum support sessions.
• Offer emotional and physical support during the postpartum period.
• Provide lactation/feeding support and newborn education.
