Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a part-time doula to provide continuous labor support and postpartum assistance in collaboration with the birthing team. You will help with comfort measures, advocacy, and aftercare learning alongside nurses and midwives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Doula certification from an accredited program.
• 1 year experience in childbirth education, labor support, or breastfeeding education.
• DONA International certification or obtain within six months of hire.
• Basic computer literacy; strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Be present at birth and through immediate postpartum as requested.
• Offer comfort measures for labor, including breathing, relaxation, movement, and positioning guidance.
• Act as advocate and facilitate communication with hospital staff.
• Provide postpartum support and breastfeeding initiation guidance as trained.
