Job summary

Genesis Home Care in Ohio seeks a friendly Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver skilled services in patients' homes under a Physical Therapist's supervision. The PTA will educate patients and families, document care, and ensure safety and compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities include administering PT interventions, observing progress, coordinating with physicians and care teams, and driving to patient locations.

Qualifications

• PTA with active license in the employment state.
• Experience working in home care is preferred.
• Strong communication with patients, families and care team.
• Ability to document accurately and timely.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance in the name of the applicant.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled PTA services in patients' homes per PT plan of care.
• Observe and report patient progress and reactions.
• Perform PT procedures and diagnostic tests as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and safety.
• Document care, assessments, and education in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and coworkers.
• Drive to patient locations and manage visits as scheduled.
