Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home non-medical care to adults and seniors in their homes. No experience needed, as training and supervision are provided.

We offer flexible full-time and part-time schedules (day, evening, weekend, and overnight as applicable) with pay ranging from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, and opportunities for pay increases based on performance and additional certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Active PSS certification in Maine, OR willingness to enroll in a PSS training program within 60 days of hire.
• CNA (active or inactive) accepted.
• No experience required - training and support provided.
• Must not be listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings.
• Ability to work independently.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily activities.
• Strong communication skills.
• Access to a working cell phone for scheduling and documentation.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred (assignment dependent).

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, non-medical support in home settings.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming.
• Support mobility and transfers safely.
• Help with light housekeeping and meal prep per care plan.
• Provide companionship and observe changes in condition.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
