Job summary

Alliance Home Care is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA)/Caregiver to join our team. You will provide essential support to clients who need daily living assistance, including personal care, companionship, and helping with daily tasks to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.

Key responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, mobility and transfers, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and engaging clients in meaningful activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Caregiver experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Support mobility, transfers, and ambulation, and maintain a safe environment.
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organization.
• Provide medication reminders and help with prescribed exercises or therapies.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities.
• Monitor and report changes in health or behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Respect and maintain client confidentiality and privacy at all times.
• Adhere to all safety and health guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
