Job summary

Changing Lives Family Care seeks a dedicated Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide person-centered assistance in clients’ homes and community settings. You will support with ADLs, personal care, and light housekeeping while following each plan of care and maintaining professional standards.

The role requires compassionate care, ability to work independently, and adherence to agency policies, HIPAA, and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• Meet agency and regulatory requirements for employment as a Personal Care Aide.
• Complete required PCA training and competency requirements.
• Demonstrate the ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Demonstrate competency in assigned personal-care duties.
• Be dependable and capable of working independently in the individual's home.
• Complete all required employment screening, background checks, and other applicable requirements.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification when required by the agency or assigned program.
• Complete all required annual and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene and other personal-care needs.
• Assist with toileting, continence care, and personal hygiene.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, ambulation, and mobility as authorized.
• Assist with eating and meal preparation according to the individual’s plan of care.
• Provide light housekeeping related to the individual’s health and safety.
• Observe the individual’s condition and report changes to the supervisor.
• Complete accurate service documentation and timesheets, EVV, and other records.
