Job summary

I AM Companion Home Care LLC is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA) to assist clients in daily living activities in home settings. The role includes personal hygiene support, mobility assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and monitoring health changes under RN supervision.

Qualified applicants must have completed a formal PCA training program meeting state and federal requirements, minimum 40 hours, and provide evidence of training. Compliance with agency policies is required.

Qualifications

• Individual must have successfully completed and provide evidence of formal training as a personal care aide per state and federal law and regulation.
• Training program must meet minimum requirement of 40 hours.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal hygiene (mouth and hair care), toileting, ambulation and exercise, eating, dressing, shaving, and other duties as assigned.
• Maintaining a clean, safe environment including light cleaning and organizing living areas.
• Assisting with devices for daily living (wheelchair, walker) and range of motion exercises.
• Preparing and measuring special diets as prescribed.
• Keeping records of personal health care activities.
• Observing patient appearance and behavior changes and reporting to RN.
• Assisting with self-administration of medications as assigned by RN.
• Adhering to agency Code of Conduct and avoiding skilled nursing tasks.
• Do not move a recipient after a fall; notify RN and call 911 if needed.
