Job summary

Family Connections in New Jersey seeks a Parents As Teachers Parent Educator to provide home visiting services in Essex County. The role emphasizes building trust with families, delivering the PAT curriculum, and strengthening parent-child relationships within a family-centered framework.

The educator will conduct one-hour visits, manage documentation, and contribute to outreach efforts to recruit and enroll families, including collaboration with the PAT coordinator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or related field.
• Experience in community outreach and marketing.
• Ability to work on a team and with diverse populations.
• Fluency in English; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular, long-term relationships with 18 families at a time.
• Visit families in their homes for one hour using PAT curriculum.
• Assist in strengthening parent-child relationships and parenting skills.
