Job summary

Family Connections is seeking a Parents As Teachers Parent Educator to provide home visiting services in Essex County, NJ. You will build trusting relationships, support early childhood development, and use the PAT curriculum during visits.

The role emphasizes outreach, family-centered services, and collaboration with coordinators. A Bachelor's in Early Childhood and English fluency are required, Spanish preferred. This is a full-time, in-home position with group events tied to the PAT program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or related field.
• Experience delivering evidence-based curricula; strong clerical, organizational, and computer skills.
• Maturity and experience working with children (0-5) and families for at least two years.
• Fluency in English; Spanish bilingual ability strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a regular, long-term relationship with 18 families.
• Home visits last one hour using the PAT curriculum.
• Establish goals using the PAT Goal Plan with each family.
• Assess child development with ASQ-3 and ASQ-SE.
• Refer families to community services as indicated.
