Job summary

Family Connections, Inc. is seeking a Parents As Teachers Parent Educator to provide home visiting services in Essex County. The role focuses on building trust with families, delivering PAT curriculum, and supporting healthy parent-child relationships.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Early Childhood or related field, has strong outreach and clerical skills, and is fluent in English (Spanish preferred). Travel to families' homes is required, with daytime and some evening visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or related field.
• Experience with community outreach and marketing; strong cultural competence; teamwork; experience delivering evidence-based curricula.
• Fluency in English; Spanish bilingualism strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a regular, long-term relationship with 18 families at a time.
• Home visits for one hour using the PAT curriculum.
• Interventions should be family-centered and strength-based.
• Establish trusting relationships and strengthen the parent-child relationship.
• Assist families in improving home environments and parenting practices.
• Input documentation into PATsys and related charts; meet deadlines for paperwork.
