Job summary

Mederi Caretenders Home Health, part of LHC Group within Optum, is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver in-home occupational therapy to patients, helping restore their fullest physical ability and independence.

You will follow state laws and the plan of care, document patient responses, educate families, and collaborate with the supervising OT, nurse, and physician to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• Current OTA licensure in the state of practice (Florida).
• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Following all state laws governing occupational therapy in home care and the supervising OT's treatment plan.
• Assist patients with evidence-based therapy within the OTA scope and state regulations.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses and changes to the nurse supervisor and physician.
• Educate patients, families, and care teams on therapy techniques within the OTA scope.
• Provide care in diverse home environments and with diverse patient needs.
