Job summary

Anuco Home Health Care LLC is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide in-home occupational therapy under the supervision of a licensed OT. The role emphasizes compassionate care, timely documentation, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates will have home health experience, strong communication and time-management skills, and proficiency with Axxess Home Health EMR to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to agency timelines.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Illinois Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current NBCOT certification as a COTA.
• Home health experience strongly preferred.
• Axxess Home Health EMR experience preferred.
• Two years of occupational therapy experience preferred.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments delegated and supervised by the Occupational Therapist.
• Follow physician orders and the plan of care established by the supervising OT.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional mobility, and ADLs/IADLs.
• Provide ADL/IADL retraining and home-safety education.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding home programs and safe daily activities.
• Coordinate therapy services with the supervising OT and team.
• Document patient progress and respond to QA corrections promptly.
