Job summary

Elite Home Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our home-based care team across Florida. You will provide skilled OT services in patients' homes, working under supervision of a licensed OT to improve independence and safety.

The ideal candidate has graduated from an accredited OTA program, with strong communication and documentation skills, CPR certified, and a valid driver's license for travel to patient homes. Home health experience is a plus.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow supervision and plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed OT.
• Help patients improve functional abilities, safety, and independence in their homes.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, fine motor skills, coordination, strength, and adaptive techniques.
• Follow physician orders and the established plan of care.
• Monitor and communicate patient progress, response to treatment, and changes in condition to the supervising OT.
• Reinforce patient and caregiver education as directed by the OT.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation for all visits.
• Collaborate with OTs, nurses, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Maintain compliance with Medicare requirements, Florida regulations, and agency policies.
