Job summary

Ignite Rehab (DBA Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy) is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist to provide in-home care throughout Morris County. The role offers 1099 and W-2 options, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for professional growth in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities include 1:1 patient treatment, developing individualized plans, education for families and caregivers, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• OT Program Graduate
• Licensed Occupational Therapist in NJ or eligible
• Home health experience preferred but not required - mentor provided
• Ability to travel to patients’ homes within the assigned geographic territory
• Strong communication skills with patients, caregivers and management

Responsibilities

• Accept and treat patients within your designated geographic area
• Provide 1:1 treatment
• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs
• Deliver care that aligns with professional standards and agency policies
• Educate family members, home health aides, and other caregivers on proper therapy techniques
• Plan and carry out occupational therapy programs to maintain, improve or restore physical function
• Perform an initial exam and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention
• Provide timely and accurate documentation for each visit
• Evaluate effects of treatment and adjust as needed
• Willingness to treat geriatric patients
