Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families across California. This role offers professional autonomy, meaningful family-centered care, and the chance to practice end-of-life veterinary medicine in homes instead of clinics.

Qualifikationen

• DVM/VMD/BVMS or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Active veterinary license in the state(s) where services will be provided.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel between appointments.
• Ability to work independently as a mobile veterinarian.
• Strong empathy and professionalism in end-of-life conversations.
• Availability for rotational weekend scheduling.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with weights up to 100 pounds.
• Background and motor vehicle record checks will be completed.

Aufgaben

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and euthanasia services.
• Travel to appointments and work in a mobile care environment.
• Perform examinations, clinical assessments, medication administration, sedation, euthanasia, and related services.
• Guide families through quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life options.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Collaborate with the Heartstrings team and referring veterinarians.
• Safely handle and position animals during visits.
• Maintain professionalism and clinical independence in the field.
• Demonstrate Compassion. Dignity. Respect. in every interaction.
