Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking compassionate veterinarians to deliver in-home hospice and euthanasia services across the California area. Practise medicine with time to listen, explain, and support families on their terms in a mobile, home-based setting.

You will practice independently on the road, with strong mentorship and ongoing training, and benefit from a generous compensation package and no non-compete obligations. Flexible scheduling includes 2–5 day options and self-managed plans.

Qualifications

• DVM required and licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the United States.
• Willing to perform end-of-life hospice and in-home euthanasia visits.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.
• Driver's license valid in the U.S. and clean driving record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate in-home hospice and end-of-life care for pets.
• Visit multiple client homes with a flexible, self-managed schedule.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with families during difficult moments.
• Maintain professional documentation and coordinate with the team.
