Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking in-home hospice and euthanasia veterinarians to support pet families in Pearland and Friendswood, Texas. This role emphasizes professional autonomy, meaningful family relationships, and deliberate, compassionate veterinary care in the home setting.

Qualifications

• DVM, VMD, BVMS, or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited program.
• Active veterinary license in the relevant state(s) or eligible to obtain.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license for mobile in-home visits.
• Ability to travel between scheduled appointments independently.
• Strong communication and empathy during sensitive pet hospice conversations.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and euthanasia services within your service area.
• Travel independently to appointments in a mobile practice environment.
• Perform physical exams, assessments, medications, sedation, euthanasia, and related veterinary services.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life care options with empathy.
• Maintain accurate medical records and coordinate with Heartstrings team and referring vets.
• Ensure safe handling of animals and maintain professionalism while in the field.
• Demonstrate Heartstrings’ commitment to Compassion. Dignity. Respect. in all interactions.
