Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking an in-home health aide to help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes in the Avon area.

Wage starts at $18 per hour; Certified Nursing Assistants earn $20 per hour. After 5 months of employment, eligible for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy. Part-time and full-time hours are available based on your schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation, clean driving record, 3 years driving experience.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance and comfortable driving.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence, Professional Boundaries required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living.
• Provide hands-on personal care (dressing, grooming, hygiene).
• Light housekeeping (bathrooms, living areas, kitchens, laundry).
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Conversation and companionship.
• Interactive Caregiving.
• Assist mobility with transfer tools/equipment.
• Assistance with medication.
• Dementia or Alzheimer's care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator.
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift and cares.

About The Job

As an in-home caregiver, you will clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

• Hands-on personal cares may include assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene
• Light housekeeping includes cleaning bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, linen change, vacuuming, laundry, garbage etc
• Meal planning, cooking and baking
• Conversation and companionship
• Interactive Caregiving
• Assistance with mobility that may include use of transfer tools/equipment
• Assistance with medication
• Dementia or Alzheimer's care
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares.
