Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking a part-time CNA/Caregiver to support clients in the Albany/Avon area. Pay starts at $18/hour, with $20/hour for CNAs. Opportunities for free CNA classes after 5 months of employment.

Roles include helping with daily activities, light housekeeping, meal prep, companionship, medication support, and dementia care. Must be 21+, have a HS diploma/GED, and valid license with reliable transportation. Flexible part- and full-time schedules available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation, clean driving record, 3 years driving experience.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance and comfortable driving.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence, Professional Boundaries required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living.
• Provide hands-on personal care including dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping such as cleaning, dusting, laundry, and vacuuming.
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Provide companionship and conversation.
• Interactive caregiving and mobility assistance with transfer tools/equipment.
• Assist with medication management.
• Provide dementia or Alzheimer's care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Document shift care electronically.

Wage begins at $18 an hour unless Certified Nursing Assistant then $20 an hour. Eligible after 5 months of employment for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy.

Part time and full-time hours available depending on your availability.

About The Job

As an in-home caregiver, you will clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Responsibilities may include:

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living
• Hands-on personal cares may include assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene
• Light housekeeping includes cleaning bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, linen change, vacuuming, laundry, garbage etc
• Meal planning, cooking and baking
• Conversation and companionship
• Interactive Caregiving
• Assistance with mobility that may include use of transfer tools/equipment
• Assistance with medication
• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares.
