Job summary

Floor Coverings International in the Northwest Baltimore area seeks an in-home Design & Sales Consultant to guide homeowners through flooring choices from consultation to installation. You’ll deliver a seamless project experience, build trust, and close sales based on value and options.

The role emphasizes consultative design conversations, relationship building, and a flexible schedule with paid training and performance-based rewards. Prior sales in home décor is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales experience in flooring, interior design, or construction REQUIRED.
• Strong communicator who can build trust quickly.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home design and sales consultations.
• Build trust with customers and guide them through flooring selections.
• Recommend solutions that balance style, function, and budget.
• Close sales by clearly presenting value and options.
• Manage proposals, follow-ups, and project details.
• Partner with the team to ensure a seamless installation experience.
• Generate referrals and build long-term customer relationships.
