Job summary

IQ Fiber is seeking a Fiber Installation Technician to install, configure Wi‑Fi routers, test, and obtain customer acceptance of our FTTH service. This is a hands-on, customer-facing field role working in homes and businesses, using experience in fiber broadband installations.

You will set up Wi‑Fi networks, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, perform basic fiber splicing, and document actions in our systems. A valid driver’s license and strong customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years broadband installation experience, including 6 months fiber optics.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber internet installations and resolve service tickets following safety codes and procedures.
• Set up and diagnose Wi‑Fi networks and resolve hardware/software issues.
• Perform basic fiber splicing and maintenance with GPON equipment.
• Document actions, readings, and resolutions in tickets and systems.
• Meet/exceed KPIs such as install completion and MTTR.
• Interact with customers professionally to explain IQ Fiber products and services.
• Coordinate with dispatch and internal teams to complete jobs.
