Job summary

Albemarle County is seeking an In-Home Services caseworker to provide equitable, professional family support in home settings, using strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches to safeguard children.

You will partner with families, coordinate with schools, courts, and community providers, develop case plans, and maintain confidential records. Coverage after hours and on-call rotations are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field with two years' related experience.
• BSW/MSW or Virginia Social Work license preferred.
• Ability to travel and drive; willingness to work after hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop family-specific psychosocial case plans using social work theories.
• Assist families in accessing resources; conduct trauma-informed assessments.
• Provide clinical case management to strengthen families and prevent foster care.
• Coordinate with schools, courts, and providers during home visits and meetings.
• Maintain thorough case records and ensure confidentiality.
• Provide after-hours on-call coverage for emergencies.
