Job summary

Youth Villages seeks a Family Intervention Specialist to support families in their home and community settings. The role focuses on keeping families together and reducing out-of-home placements with evidence-based mental health interventions and strengthened parenting skills.

Eligible candidates typically hold a Bachelor's in a social services field (Master’s preferred) and possess strong organization, communication, and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a social services discipline preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a social services discipline required.
• Experience with at-risk youth and/or families (volunteer, internship, or paid).
• Clinical experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and oral skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Carries a caseload of 4 to 6 families.
• Holds individual and family sessions 3 times weekly.
• Performs ongoing assessment of youth needs.
• Attends weekly meetings for professional development.
• Travels up to 60–80 miles to meet families at home or community sites.
• Collaborates with providers, case workers, and courts.
• Provides on-call crisis support as needed.
• Documents accurately in EMR in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
