Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Boston is seeking a part-time home care aide to support elders in their own homes. The role covers the North End and West End neighborhoods, delivering personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship to help clients stay safe and comfortable at home.

The position offers flexible daytime hours (20 hours weekly, with potential to grow to 40), weekly pay, and a range of benefits as part of a supportive Elder Services team.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in patient care practices, including personal care, homemaking, and basic health care services.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Have good personal hygiene.
• Able to do light housekeeping.
• Good communication skills both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Doing the weekly grocery shopping.
• Cleaning, cooking, and doing the laundry.
• Advising household owners in housekeeping matters.
• Staying up-to-date nutrition and hygiene.
• Provide personal care, such as assisting with bathing, grooming, and mobility support.
