Job summary

Home Matters Caregiving in Massachusetts is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to provide in-home care in the Greater Boston West area. You will help with daily living activities, meals, mobility, and companionship, while maintaining dignity and respect for clients.

This role offers flexible scheduling (full-time or part-time), paid training, and support from a 24/7 office team. Pay ranges from $18 to $21 per hour, with opportunities to expand skills in dementia care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in home care or as a Personal Care Assistant.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Compassionate, high-quality in-home care approach.
• Experience or training in dementia care is desirable.
• A valid driver's license may be required depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Medication reminders and documentation.
• Support clients with mobility and physical exercises as needed.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations or activities.
• Assist with dementia care and cognitive support.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment with light housekeeping.
• Communicate with healthcare providers and family about client needs and progress.
