Job summary

Stratus is seeking an EEG Set Up Technician to perform in-home diagnostic testing, placing electrodes accurately and educating patients through setup and testing. You will manage EKG setup if ordered, ensure equipment safety, and maintain strict HIPAA compliance while handling patient data across diverse home settings.

The role requires high school diploma, travel up to 95%, and strong communication with patients and families. ABRET/JCAHO credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Registered EEG Tech credentialing by ABRET and/or Joint Commission experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform EEG testing on patients in their home. Ensure proper, accurate placement of electrodes while taking proper precautions to minimize skin breakdown
• Ensure all ordered procedures are completed in an organized, efficient manner
• Interact effectively with patients, family members, etc. to put them at ease
• Work within AS‑ET guidelines while ensuring regulatory compliance
• Set up equipment and cameras to ensure patient safety and accuracy of readings; perform equipment test in home
• If setting up EKG testing, ensure electrodes are attached properly and educate patient on EKG button
• Take pertinent patient history and integrate care for all ages
• Ensure inventory is allocated and available for in-home studies
• Ensure studies are uploaded promptly and properly
• Verify patient information at disconnect
• Adhere to Exposure Control Plan, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen standard, hand hygiene
• Clean, disinfect, and store equipment per company protocols
• Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
