Job summary

Life Steps Foundation Children and Family Services in the San Gabriel Valley seeks dedicated Early Interventionists to provide in-home, one-to-one services to young children and to support families in identifying developmental needs and progress.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, two years of field experience with young children, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and bilingual abilities (Mandarin, Cantonese, or Spanish preferred).

Qualifications

• BA or MA in human development, early childhood education, psychology, or related social services preferred.
• Theoretical knowledge of infant and child development and the parent/child relationship.
• Bilingual ability in Mandarin, Cantonese, or Spanish is highly preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plan for children to develop age-appropriate skills in natural environments.
• Provide parents resources and information related to their child’s needs.
• Offer emotional support to families as they adjust to their child’s strengths and challenges.
• Complete authorized service hours and adhere to schedules.
• Assist in transitioning the child and family to preschool programs.
• Submit billing and payroll documents timely.
• Submit monthly reports to regional center coordinators.
• Address IFSP, IPP, and IEP goals in reports.
