Job summary

The Container Store in the United States seeks a Designer/Sales Specialist to design customized spaces and drive sales while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will lead design discussions with customers, present storage solutions, and guide them through installation, financing, and loyalty programs. A strong emphasis on communication, trends, and professional appearance supports success in this role.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• 2–5 years sales and clientele experience preferred.
• Design experience and spatial intelligence.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Professional appearance and dress code compliance.
• Knowledge of trends in the custom closets and retail industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to design customized plans clearly and professionally.
• Promote services: In-Home Designing, In-Home Organizing, installation, financing, and loyalty.
• Focus on closing sales and building repeat/referral business.
• Maintain communication with Managers and Support Center to complete projects from inquiry to installation to sales goals.
• Lead the sales floor in partnership with Managers.
• Stay updated on training, product knowledge, promotions, and company philosophies.
