Job summary

Diamond Care Group is seeking a reliable Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide in-home therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The COTA will help clients improve functional independence and home safety in a patient’s living environment.

You will perform OT interventions, assist with ADLs, and educate families on home exercise programs while documenting visits per Medicare guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active Florida COTA license.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare documentation requirements is a plus.
• Familiar with EHR such as Kinnser.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Implement therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, coordination, and mobility.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies.
• Accurately document patient visits in accordance with Medicare and home health guidelines.
• Communicate patient progress and concerns to supervising OT and interdisciplinary team.
