Job summary

DFW Home Health in Weatherford, Texas is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide patient-centered therapy in the home setting. You will follow the plan of care under the supervision of an OT and help patients restore their physical abilities.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Valid driver2s license and access to a vehicle or reliable transportation.
• Must be certified and in good standing with NBCOT.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Strong multitasking, independence, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy to patients in home care and follow supervision plan.
• Follow state laws and plan of care under supervising OT.
• Observe and report patient response to treatment to nurse supervisor and physician.
• Educate patient, family, caregiver, and health care team on therapy areas.
• Function effectively in diverse home settings.
