Job summary

Charity Comfort Care Services in Dallas–Fort Worth is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver skilled treatments in patients' homes under the supervision of an OT. You will implement treatment plans to improve ADLs and independence.

The role offers flexible Part-Time/PRN schedules across Dallas–Fort Worth communities with per-visit compensation negotiable by experience, and opportunities to collaborate with a supportive clinical team.

Qualifications

• Current, active Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Experience using Axxess Home Health software preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare home health documentation requirements.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining required OT supervision.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the supervision and direction of a licensed OT.
• Implement established treatment plans to improve patients' ability to perform ADLs.
• Assist patients with dressing, bathing, grooming, feeding, and functional mobility skills.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and adaptive equipment training.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home safety and techniques for improved independence.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising OT.
• Complete accurate and timely visit documentation using Axxess Home Health.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care coordination and clinical communication.
• Follow Medicare, Texas licensing, and agency documentation requirements.
• Perform services within the COTA scope of practice and established plan of care.
