DFW Home Health, part of the Optum family, is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in McKinney, Texas. You will provide occupational therapy to patients at home, following the supervising OT’s plan of care and state regulations.

Ideal candidates hold an active OTA license, a valid driver’s license, and are prepared to meet CPR or become CPR certified. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days (preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously (preferred).
• Ability to work independently with good communication and organizational skills (preferred).

Aufgaben

• Follow all state laws governing OT in home health and the plan of care defined by the supervising OT.
• Instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment within the OTA scope.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses to treatment to nurses and physicians.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and health-team members on therapy within OTA scope.
• Provide care in diverse home settings regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, or disability.
