Job summary

Advanced Home Health Services seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide OT services under supervision of a licensed OT in Fort Worth or Denton. This PRN role supports diverse patient ages in home health settings.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and coordinating with the care team. Must hold Texas OTA license, associate degree, CPR, Hepatitis profile, and be a licensed driver with reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current Texas State License to practice occupational therapy.
• Two-year experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Therapy skills as set forth in the Therapy Practice Act and other regulatory agencies.
• Proof of current CPR and Hepatitis profile
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.

Responsibilities

• Performs services planned, delegated and supervised by the OT.
• Coordination of patient care.
• Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication to teach patient and family.
• Completes documentation in a timely manner.
• Applies infection control concepts to prevent contamination and transmission of disease.
• Accepts clinical assignments aligned with education and competence.
• Meets continuing education requirements and participates in in-service programs.
