About Play is seeking an Early Interventionist to serve Charleston, North Charleston, and Summerville in South Carolina. The role focuses on delivering family-centered early intervention services to birth to six-year-olds with developmental delays or disabilities, in homes, daycare, or natural environments.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in related fields and 1 year of documented experience with young children; 5 years with infants and toddlers is an alternative.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family & Consumer Science, or related field, plus 1 year of documented experience with children birth to six years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.
• Perform Family Training with the caregiver and child in their home, daycare or natural environment setting
• Provide training, education, and support to families in the areas of child development, parenting, and family functioning.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote the development of the child.
• Monitor the progress of the child and family.
