About Play seeks an Early Intervention Specialist to serve in Charleston, North Charleston, and Summerville, SC. The role involves delivering family-centered early intervention services to infants and toddlers with delays or disabilities, in home or natural settings, with training and support for families.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, 1 year with children birth to six, and willingness for on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 1 year of documented experience with children birth to six.
• Alternative: Bachelor's degree in any field and 5 years of documented experience with infants/toddlers or children birth to 5 with disabilities.
• Must reside in South Carolina for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.
• Perform family training with the caregiver and child in their home, daycare or natural environment setting.
• Provide training, education, and support to families in child development, parenting, and family functioning.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote the development of the child.
• Monitor the progress of the child and family.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family & Consumer Science, or any related field

Bachelor's Degree in ANY field + 5 years of experience with infants/toddlers or birth to 5 with disabilities
